Spa Golfer hotel: idealni primer hotela s 4 zvezdicami
Pred kratkim sem obiskala hotel Spa Golfer v bližini mesteca Sveti Martin na Muri, na področju zgornjega Međimurja na Hrvaškem. Hotel sem prvič obiskala pred tremi leti in mi je bil dovolj všečen za ponovni obisk.
Međimurje je zanimiv predel Hrvaške, saj gre za področje, kjer se stikajo kar tri meje – slovenska, hrvaška in madžarska. Veliko je ravnice in gričkov, sadnega drevja in vinogradov. Njihova specialiteta pa je međimurska gibanica, ki je pravzaprav enaka, kot naša prekmurska.
Hotel Spa Golfer ima štiri zvezdice in točno toliko si jih tudi zasluži; nič manj in nič več. V njem lahko uživate na različnih bazenih ali zaigrate golf na golf igrišču ob hotelu. Organizirajo tudi izlete po okolici in druge dodatne aktivnosti. Po celotnem hotelu pa prijetno diši – tako na hodnikih, v sobah, kot tudi drugje.
Sobe so dokaj velike, vendar preveč minimalistične za moj okus. Postelje so relativno udobne in dovolj velike. Na žalost ima zelo malo sob balkon, tako ga tudi midva s partnerjem nisva dobila, čeprav sva zanj prosila. V sobi je dovolj omar in odlagalnih površin, tudi mini bar imajo.
Kopalnice so ravno prav velike, kopalniški del pa je ločen od straniščnega z drsnimi vrati. Ima pa soba nekaj zelo nenavadnega. Veliko šipo, ki se razteza čez celo kopalniško steno, zavesa, s katero je steklo zakrito, pa je na zunanji strani. Odlično za »pip show«, če se malce pošalimo, v resnici pa, vsaj zame, kar malce moteče.
Hrana v hotelu
S partnerjem sva v hotelu bivala na bazi polpenziona. Oba obroka sta bila sicer samopostrežna. Večerja je bila povprečna, zajtrk pa je bil odličen. V hotelu se namreč zelo trudijo vnesti zdrav način življenja tudi skozi prehrano.
Tako so na voljo sokovi in sadje lokalnih pridelovalcev, podobno je tudi s čaji. Ponujajo več različnih čajev in vse v obliki »loos tea-jev«, torej zelišča, ki si jih sam nadevaš v filter vrečke. Izbor hrane je relativno velik, z njim pa poskrbijo tudi za tiste, ki imamo za zajtrk radi kaj sladkega.
Kar trije bazeni
V sklopu Spa Golfer hotela lahko uživate na kar treh bazenskih kompleksih. Na manjšem hotelskem bazenu, ki ima notranji del s še dvema masažnima kadema, in nekaj zunanjih površin. Na stilsko urejenem in zelo zanimivem termalnem bazenskem kompleksu, imenovanem Temple of life – Tempelj življenja. In na zunanjem bazenskem kompleksu s tobogani in več bazeni, imenovanem Martinlandia.
V hotelu najdete tudi dober savna kompleks, s štirimi savnami, ledeno jamo, mrzlim bazenom in še nekaterimi drugimi podrobnostmi. Sama pa sem si v wellness delu privoščila tudi masažo, ki mi je bila zelo všeč. Bazira na indijskem načinu masaže, pred masažo pa sam intuitivno izbereš vonj, ki ti v tistem trenutku najbolj odgovarja, vezan pa je na tri doše – vato, pitto in kapho.
Hotel je prijeten in moderen. Prepričana sem, da se bom vanj še vrnila.

Spa Golfer hotel: the perfect example of a 4-star hotel
I visited the hotel Spa Golfer a few days ago. It’s located near the little town Sveti Martin na Muri – Saint Martin on the river Mura, in the upper Međimurje region, on the northern part of Croatia. I visited the hotel 3 years ago for the first time and it was so likable to me that I decided to visit it again.
Međimurje is an interesting part of Croatia, because there you can find the junction of three borders – Slovenian, Croatian and Hungarian. You can find a lot of meadows and little hills there and a lot of fruit trees and vineyards too. Their specialty is a desert called Međimurska gibanica and it’s actually the same as Slovenian well known desert Prekmurska gibanica (Over Mura moving cake 😊).
The hotel Spa Golfer has 4 stars and it deserves exactly that many – no more no less, so it can be a perfect example of a 4-star hotel. In it you can enjoy in various pools or play golf on the golf course next to the hotel. They are offering a few trips into the surroundings and some other activities. It also smells very good all around the hotel – in the hallways, in the rooms and just everywhere.
Rooms are quite big, although with a bit too minimalistic approach for my taste. Beds are somewhat comfortable and big enough. On the other hand, we were a little disappointed that we didn’t have a balcony, although we asked for it. The problem is that the hotel doesn’t have a lot of rooms with balconies. There are enough closets and storage areas in the rooms, and they have a minibar.
Bathrooms are also big enough and the toilet area is separated from a bathroom area. But there is something very odd in the hotel rooms. There is a big glass wall through the whole bathroom wall and the curtains that are covering this glass open and close on the outer side, in the room itself. Great for a »peep show« we could say, but actually for me somewhat unpleasant.
The food in the hotel
My partner and I had a half board. Both meals were self-service. Dinner was average, but the breakfast was splendid. They are actually trying very hard to bring the healthy lifestyle into the food too.
Thus, they are offering juices and fruits from the local producers, and it’s similar with the teas too. They have a good variety of loose teas, which means that you put selected herbs into the filter bags yourself. There is a good variety of different food and they have some food for us who like to eat something sweet for breakfast too.
Three pool areas
In the Spa Golfer hotel, you can enjoy in no less than three pool complexes. At the smaller hotel pool with a small inside and outside area. On the inside area there are also two jacuzzies. At the stylishly designed and very interesting thermal area called Temple of life, and at the outside pool complex with slides and many pools, called Martinlandia.
In the hotel you can find a good sauna complex, with 4 saunas, an ice cave, a cold pool and a few more details. I pampered myself with a massage too, which I liked very much. It was an Indian style massage, where you intuitively pick the essential oil for your pampering. The oils are in powering one of your three doshas – vata, pitta or kapha.
The hotel is very pleasant and modern. I am certain I will visit it again.
