Hotel Lone: dizajn, ki vas bo prepričal
Letos sva s partnerjem božič prvič pričakala na morju. Obiskala sva Rovinj in si privoščila razvajanje v unikatnem dizajnerskem hotelu Lone, ki se nahaja ob plaži, od centra mesta pa je oddaljen slaba 2 kilometra.
Rovinj je sicer manjše simpatično mesto v hrvaški Istri in zagotovo eno mojih najljubših mestec na hrvaški obali. Hotel Lone pa se je kaj hitro prebil zelo blizu k najboljšim hotelom, ki sem jih obiskala.
Vse je popolnoma domišljeno
Petzvezdični hotel Lone so ustvarili mladi umetniki in arhitekti s Hrvaške. Prav vsak kos pohištva je bil izdelan izključno za hotel Lone in vse, kar boste našli v hotelu, je tam s svojim namenom.
V sobah sta denimo dve ozki ogledali, ki segata od stropa do tal in s svojo postavitvijo znatno povečata že tako velike sobe. Na vsakem nadstropju hotela pa boste našli udobne zofe, ki so, ko so zložene, primerne za sedenje in prebiranje knjig v različnih jezikih, ki jih najdete na mizah, ko privzdigneš njihove naslonjače, pa se spremenijo v resnično udobne zofe, kjer bi lahko na pol poležaval ure in ure. Prav te zofe so bojda na nekem tekmovanju dobile nagrado za najbolj udobne zofe na svetu. Te iste zofe pa so tudi v konferenčni dvorani, ki se včasih spremeni v kino dvorano.
Dejstvo je, da je hotel Lone izredno modernega dizajna, njegova zunanja oblika pa spominja na ladjo križarko. Sredi hotela boste na stropu našli inštalacijo imenovano »sprehod duhov«, po celotnem hotelu pa boste našli kar nekaj atraktivnih površin, ki služijo predvsem okrasu.
Razkošne sobe
Priznati moram, da je bila soba v hotelu Lone ena največjih hotelskih sob v katerih sem bila. Imela je kar 33 kvadratov in je s tem bila velika skoraj toliko kot najino stanovanje. (Sedaj se lahko vprašamo ali je soba zelo velika ali pa je najino stanovanje zelo majhno 😉. )
Postelja je bila velika – enojna, z lepim dizajnom v ozadju. Luči so bile atraktivne okroglaste oblike, vendar je treba priznati, da niso bile najbolj praktične, če si hotel ponoči brati. V sobi so bile tri enokrilne omare, nekaj skritih predalov, ki bi sicer lahko bili nekoliko globlji, in mini bar v posebni omari. Vsekakor dovolj odlagalnih površin torej. Nasproti postelje je bila kar velika televizija, v kotu pa miza z dvema udobnima stoloma. Tudi pisalno mizo najdete v sobi.
V kopalnici sta bila tako kad kot tuš in dvojni umivalnik. Soba pa je imela tudi zelo velik in lep balkon, s stranskih pogledom na morje in glavnim pogledom na park pred hotelom. Ena redkih pomanjkljivosti v sobi je bila svetla preproga po tleh, ki je bila sicer zelo mehka in prijetna na otip, vendar je zaradi svoje svetle barve razkazovala nekaj madežev.
Okusna hrana, s pomanjkanjem soli
Čeprav je hotel Lone petzvezdični hotel, so imeli samopostrežne obroke. Sama priznam, da imam v luksuznih hotelih raje vsaj delno streženo večerjo. Hrana je bila zelo okusna, vendar bi bila izbira pri večerji lahko nekoliko večja, sploh če se ponuja nekomu, ki ni ljubitelj rib. Zajtrk je po drugi strani ponujal za vsakogar nekaj.
Največja pomanjkljivost pri hrani pa je bilo pomanjkanje soli. To samo po sebi sicer ni velik problem, večji problem je bilo to, da na mizah ni bilo solnic in si za sol moral vsakič znova prositi strežno osebje. Vredno pa je omeniti tudi, da je pijača v hotelu precej draga. Pivo ali deci slajšega belega vina staneta denimo okrog 7€.
Wellness z manj primernimi posebnostmi
V hotelu najdete kompleks zunanjih bazenov, ki je bil sedaj seveda zaprt, in notranji bazen. Ta je sicer lep, vendar ni pretirano velik, predvsem pa je problem, ker je v njem precej hladna voda.
V bližini bazena se nahajata tudi fitnes in wellness kompleks. Tam najdete tri prijetne savne – dve finski in eno turško. Finski se razlikujeta po moči. V sklopu savna kompleksa so tudi atraktivne t.i. potopljene sobe. Gre za bazene ozaljšane s svetlobnimi in masažnimi efekti ter s toplo vodo. Najbolj moteče pa je bilo to, da se relax zona ni nahaja v sklopu savn, ampak na njihovem izhodu. Bila je sicer atraktivna, vendar je bilo tam precej hladno, pa tudi bolj majhna je bila. Ob relax zoni se je nahajal še bar, kjer si si lahko postregel s čaji in vodo.
Ob vhodu v wellness in bazenski del lahko prevzamete brezplačne brisače, vendar so bile te prva dva dni precej majhne in neprimerne za savno.
Hotel je vsekakor atraktiven in z veseljem bi se vrnila vanj. Prepričana sem, da bo s svojo edinstvenostjo in prijetnimi energijami, ki se čutijo v njem, prepričal tudi vas.

Hotel Lone: design, that will impress you
This Christmas was first that my partner and I spent at the coast. We visitedRovinj and pamper ourselves at the unique design hotel Lone. Hotel is located by the beach and about 2 km from the town centre.
Rovinj is a small town at the Croatian Istria region and definitely one of my favourite towns at the Croatian coast and hotel Lone quickly became one of the best hotels I visited in my life so far.
Everything is there for a reason
Five-stars hotel Lone was designed by the young artists and architects from Croatia. Every piece of furniture is made exclusively for this hotel and everything you’ll find there is there for a reason.
In example, in rooms you can find two narrow mirrors that are reaching from top to bottom. They make room seem even bigger than it is. At every floor you can find very comfortable sofas that are, when stacked, very good for sitting and reading some books in many languages that you can find on tables, but when you unfold their back rest, they become so comfortable that it seems that you are sitting on a half bed. They say this are the sofas that were awarded for the most comfortable sofas in a world on a competition a few years ago. And you can find the same sofas at the conference room that is sometimes changed in the movie theatre.
Hotel Lone is a very modern hotel. Its’ exterior resembles a cruising ship. In the middle of the hotel you can find an art installation called »ghost walk« and through the whole hotel you can find many surfaces that are there manly as a decoration.
Luxury rooms
I must admit that the room in the hotel Lone was one of the biggest hotel rooms I ever visited. It measured 33 m² and as so it was almost as big as our apartment. (Now you can ask yourself if this really is a big room or we just have a small apartment. 😉 )
The bed was big, with a nice design at the back. Lights were very attractive, but I must admit, a bit unpractical if you wanted to read at night. In the room there were 3 closets, some secret drawers, that could be a bit deeper, and a mini bar in a closet. There was definitely enough of landfill surfaces. Across the bed there was a pretty big TV, and, in the corner, there was a table with 2 comfortable chairs. You could also find a desk with a chair there.
In the bathroom there were a bath and a shower and double sink. The room had a big beautiful balcony with a side view on a sea and a main view on the park. One of the rear deficiencies was a beige carpet, which was very soft and nice on the touch, but its’ light colour wasn’t hiding stains.
Delicious food with a lack of salt
Despite of 5 stars, hotel Lone had a self-catering meals. I must admit that I like it better if the dinner is partly served at the luxurious hotels. Food was very delicious, but the variety could be a bit better, especially if you weren’t a fish lover. Breakfast was great, with a good variety.
The biggest inadequacy with food was a lack of salt. This wouldn’t be a big problem if there were saltcellars on the tables, but they weren’t. So, if you wanted a salt, you had to ask for it the catering staff. Maybe it’s good to mention also that the drinks were expensive at the hotel. In example, a beer or a dl of sweeter white wine costed about 7€.
Quirky wellness
In the hotel you can find a big outer pool complex which was closed in the winter, and an indoor pool that is nice, but it could be bigger and the water in it was too cold.
Near the pool you can find wellness and fitness area. At the wellness area you can find 3 saunas – 2 Finnish and one steam sauna. At the sauna area there are also very attractive »underwater rooms«, that are actually small pools with hot water and light and massage effects. But the most disturbing thing there was the relax zone that wasn’t at the sauna area, but on their exit. They were nicely furnished, but it was cold there and there wasn’t enough space. Next to the relax zone there was a wellness bar, where you could take some complimentary tea and water.
At the entrance of a wellness and pool area you could get complimentary towels but for the first two days they were small and not particularly effective for sauna.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and I would haply return there. I am certain that it will impress you too with its’ uniqueness and good vibes that are found there.
